Digital PR/Communications Consultant (1 Month Contract)

Description

We have two proprietary digital platforms which we have developed in-house based on our expertise in OOH media: ADA – a data management platform that allows us to build audiences and measure the effectiveness of campaigns Atlas – a demand-side platform that allows media planners to build campaigns in digital OOH media using real-time data and optimise creative executions throughout the campaign life cycle.   They enable us to develop data science and programmatic capabilities than can drive real, measurable value for clients in their OOH media campaigns.  

About the role

Talon is looking for a Digital PR/Communications Consultant to create and implement a plan to help drive wider adoption of these platforms. The project will consist of:

Responsibilities

  • Build visibility for Talon on digital specific properties – panels/podcasts/blogs/publications/etc.
  • Work with the digital team to create a plan for publicising the digital platforms mentioned above (ADA & Atlas)
  • Write (or brief out internally) content for digital specific sites/blogs/vlogs etc.
  • Own relationships with digital specific sites.
  • Manage the creation, delivery, and distribution of content.
  • Social media strategy.

Skills & Experience

  • This person must have experience of working within the digital media , programmatic and data ecosystem. This could be agency, platform or media owner.
  •  They must be familiar with the UK media landscape.

Client Associate

The Client Associate supports their team to help service a range of clients and agencies. They will contribute to the creation of client deliverables, support with campaign management duties, and related administrative needs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist and support team members through all stages of the planning, buying, & account management process
  • Maintain and organize in the shared folders all resources, documents, decks, POP, etc. as it pertains to any internal and external work
  • Support Client Manager with creation, maintenance, and management of documents and reports throughout the planning and buying process (i.e.- media plan, contracts, cost sheets, posting instructions, production grids, proof of posting, and override reports)
  • Be familiar with strategy and objectives of your clients and agencies
  • Have a thorough understanding and utilize all internal and external tools and systems for planning, measurement, etc. as required
  • Support your managers with identifying and implementing best practice and efficiencies within your team
  • Compile regular and ad hoc reporting as needed, i.e. competitive
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all work being delivered internally and externally
  • Understand and be able to articulate Talon ways of working and specialist offerings

Studio Operations Manager

The role is critical to the efficient and profitable running of Talon Creative UK. Responsible for job management, resource planning and cost tracking. You will work closely with all areas of the business, and in particular with the Production Team, Technical Team and Creative Team to ensure effective resource management and profitable delivery of jobs. You will be highly organised, proactive and positive and with an in depth understanding of a production company working environment. As a key member of the team you’ll have an understanding and approachable personality, with clear and decisive problem solving abilities and the confidence and the ability to enforce process and maintain high standards. You will work closely with all areas of the wider business, to ensure effective resource management of the studio team to ensure effective utilisation of resource with other local studio managers.

About the role

Responsibilities

  • Works closely with the studio team to ensure all projects are properly and effectively resourced within commercial constraints. Flags problems and solves any issues with relevant members of the team when issues arise in the delivery of projects.
  • Leads daily production stand up and the weekly production planning meetings. Understands the business’ creative and production processes and ensures the right people are doing the right tasks at the right stage.
  • Drives and strives for efficiency in the creative studio and works closely with Group finance to accurately report project, department and contractual financials.
  • Takes ownership of the department’s timekeeping and Staff Scheduling [using appropriate software] ensuring that we forecast workloads for internal and external tasks accurately. Tracking commercials and contracts with 3rd party suppliers.
  • Supports the building of accurate quotes [using appropriate software] using insight from previous project costings and supporting data.
  • Continuously ensure that all resource booked against a project is inline with what has been budgeted.
  • Produces monthly, quarterly and annual status reports, communicating and flagging any issues to senior management, finance, project and creative teams as necessary.
  • Joins Operational COGS in the wider group business, representing the creative teams.
  • Freelancers - maintains relationships with existing freelancers, actively source new / individuals to work with and maintain an accurate record of them within IR35 obligations.
  • Assists the recruitment process of new team members with the People Department, and onboarding of new department hires.
  • Keeps a record of market rates for all roles in the creative studio.
  • Manage and resource all requests for creative responses that come from the Account Managers.
  • Attend weekly sales meeting and input on any potential projects with foreseen budget/ timeline challenges.

  • Peer review other PM SOWs and cost estimates and ensure your project team is accurately reporting time spent on the project
  • Ensure any specific Account Manager/Client requirements are met for all projects
  • Manage multiple projects of varying complexity and defining the project scope within an agreed cost
  • Writing accurate and thorough scope of work documents whilst defining in depth test plans
  • Engaging and managing specialist 3rd party suppliers were required and motivating your team to deliver great work
  • Removing project blockers quickly and effectively and consistently delivering projects on time and on budget
  • Monitor the resource burnt versus the effort required to complete the project to maintain the profitability
  • Making the project happen and keeping the client happy. Carry out post project analysis so we can all improve in the future
  • Facilitate the sharing of production knowledge throughout the business
  • Complete programmes of work or study relevant to the Producer role that will benefit the business

Digital Solutions Manager

Digital Solutions play a central role in Talon’s strategy to develop strong, durable, and mutually beneficial partnerships with its portfolio of US clients and agencies. OOH is an increasingly digital channel, and the future growth of the OOH advertising sector will be driven by digital inventory and digital-first agencies and marketers who develop and grow their use of the channel. Talon’s digital solutions strategy is to enable these agencies and marketers to understand and easily apply these digital advertising solutions to their OOH campaigns and to do so in close alignment with their cross-platform initiatives. These solutions include but are not limited to data-driven audience targeting, flexible and dynamic media buying, and outcome-based measurement.

About the role

The Digital Solutions manager will support the VP, Digital solutions in designing, developing, articulating, and selling these solutions across Talon North America’s client and agency portfolio. They will help identify opportunities for Talon to improve and extend its digital solutions offering.

Responsibilities

  • Act as subject matter expert on Talon products/solutions internally and externally, with client and agency partners
  • Develop a deep, expert understanding of Talon’s audience targeting, campaign optimization, measurement capabilities, including partnership and proprietary products and services that Talon provides across the campaign lifecycle
  • Learn how to use different UIs (i.e., programmatic DSP and audience intelligence platforms) to respond to internal RFPs to provide teams with guidance on strategy, audience recommendations, and/or pricing.
  • Organize, manage, and prioritize pipeline of account requests
  • Collaborate with internal teams to include Talon digital solutions on their campaigns
  • Take the lead on industry research and identify potential new and additional partners, capable of further developing Talon’s digital solutions capabilities
  • Manage communication between account teams/clients and vendors - know what questions to ask and be able to relay conversations clearly and concisely
  • Collect feedback from teams about products/solutions and workflow
  • Support internal workflows and identify ways to optimize them

Skills & Experience

  • At least 4 years experience working in tech UIs/platforms
  • Familiarity with OOH buying process and media owners in the space
