Payables Manager

Description

Talon has a superb opportunity for a bright and confident individual with a can-do attitude. Successful candidates will have excellent relationship management skills, meticulous attention to detail and be able to manage a busy workload.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring Aged Creditor and reporting results to the Financial Accountant
  • Resolving debit balances on the creditors ledger
  • Regular maintenance of the media accruals account and report
  • Ensuring Monthly Meetings with Account teams/Investment is attended and highlight any media owner invoices in query over 90 days old
  • Maintaining the supplier database in Dream and Fusion
  • Unlocking billed campaigns if values need to be amended and criteria has been met
  • Uploading supplier payments on to Bankline
  • Collaborating with the hub, investment and account teams to maintain payables ledger
  • Using the DMS to scan and upload the media owner invoices into Dream
  • Ensuring accuracy when allocating the media owner invoice to the relevant media accrual generated by the sales invoice
  • Investigating any media owner invoices that cannot be matched to and accrual
  • Escalating any media owner invoice that cannot be matched within a reasonable timeframe
  • Preparing monthly supplier account reconciliations prior to any payment run
  • Arranging payment for invoices where the relevant sales invoice has been paid
  • Posting Purchase Orders (PO) to Dream
  • Posting Overheads invoices to Dream and allocating against relevant PO
  • Preparing budget reports for BD’s and budget holders
  • Providing the monthly journal for accrued and deferred costs
  • Analysing costs against prior year and provide commentary for variance
  • Analysing costs against forecast and provide commentary for variance
  • Preparing Accrued Expenses Reconciliations
  • Preparing Prepaid Expenses Reconciliations
  • Managing Expenses process and arranging payment on a timely basis
  • Posting of company credit cards
  • Working with and managing Payables Executive

Skills & Experience

  • Experience of working within a Finance / Payables department
  • Experience with dealing with high volume of invoices is essential
  • Experience working within a media/outdoor environment is desirable
  • Superb attention to detail, numeracy and analytical skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Proficient excel skills are necessary e.g. pivots, vlookups, etc.
  • Experience of working with finance systems. Training will be provided for the bespoke systems used by Talon
  • Line management experience desirable

Business Development Director (New York)

Description

Talon has a superb opportunity for a bright, entrepreneurial OOH sales professional, with an established success record across identifying, developing and closing new business opportunities. Position may be on a permanent or temporary consultancy basis.

Responsibilities

  • Prospecting new clients and ultimately turning them into increased business
  • Cold calling as appropriate to ensure a strong pipeline of opportunities
  • Identifying potential clients, and the decision makers within the client/agency organization
  • Setting up meetings between client/agency decision makers and Talon’s leaders
  • Being able to pitch and media plan
  • Working closely with Talon’s account team to develop proposals that speaks to the client/agency’s needs and business objectives
  • Developing a deep understanding of Talon core products, services and values
  • Creating and delivering a pitch to sell Talon’s core products, services and values to prospective clients
  • Structuring a new business plan to target the right clients/sectors with the right Talon products/services at the right time
  • Being a Talon Ambassador at key industry networking events
  • Having a proactive approach ensuring a strong new business pipeline
  • Tracking and reporting the new business pipeline
  • Delivering against new business revenue targets

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of OOH sales experience required
  • Strong understanding of OOH media solutions, market and industry trends
  • Must be result-orientated and able to work independently and within a team environment
  • Willing to travel
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Must be motivated and determined
  • A proven track record in generating leads and hitting sales goals
  • Record of closing deals, including cold leads
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
